Alfred, I'll look forward to meeting you after all these years. The first weekend of June is our annual Wheel Chair Regatta, one of the two big charity events we run every year. We round up all the big power boats we can, and they spend the day taking people out for an hour on the bay who normally wouldn't have access to the water. They come from nursing homes, care centers, homes for the developmentally disabled, etc. In addition to the boat ride we feed them lunch and have live entertainment. This will be the 55th year, and most years we get over 700 guests through. We have great volunteers, too. Many of the skippers have been coming every year for decades, and US Marines volunteer to get wheelchairs on and off boats. We're very excited to host the first one this year in our new facility, which was designed with specific attributes to accommodate it. If you're here on 8 June we can always use another volunteer!
