Anyone familiar with yards/marinas/clubs on the South Texas Coast?

I have a friend who is tired of keeping her 36' boat in the waning waters of Lake Travis and wants to put it in the gulf. They will be traveling from Austin so something in relatively close proximity would be helpful if anyone has any knowledge of a good place to be . . . or to avoid would be helpful too.
