http://www.wired.com/autopia/2014/02/saildrone/ This is a fascinating article. Whether you're interested in the geeky engineering details, or just would like to muse about hands-free solo circumnavigations, this article is a must-read. Alfred Poor 1973 Tartan 34C #288 "Jambalaya"

Greets! Great article! Thanks for posting it! After reading the article and after getting side tracked on sailing videos, I believe that it has great potential for future sailboat designs. Now we have both drones in the sky and on the water! Good stuff! If this drone sailboat was so fast (16k) and so smart why did it take so long to reach Hawaii? Why did it sail into the high instead of avoiding it? Geez, Mike. I think it remarkable that the boat made it there. We crawl before we walk. I’m still crawling. I sail into holes all the time.
