32nd anniversary of our Cal 46

Hi Cal Pals, On this day, March 17, St. Patricks Day we closed the deal with the Jack Jensen estate and took possession of "Satori" our Cal Cruising 46. We have enjoyed 32 years of owning the most perfect cruising sailboat ever devised. After retiring in 1988, we sailed away from Long Beach, CA and cruised full time until 1996. We bought a house on Bayou Chico, had our own dock to return to, rented the house to Naval flight students and kept cruising until 2002. Bobbie's Father passed in December 2002 and we became full time caregivers for her Mother until she passed in 2007. We kept our beloved boat at our dock, keeping her maintained in case we could go cruising, but after my hip replacement, vestibular dysfunction and last month's knee replacement surgery, it is over.
