I remember that one, Michael. It came from either Timm Lessley or Jerry Sobel (After all, who else?) I think if I searched my old PST files, I could find it.

Too Funny!!!
Actually, there was a web page a few years ago that spoofed placing surface-to-surface heat seeking missiles on a hobie catamaran to keep jet skis at bay. The narrative was quite funny, with photoshopped images scattered about the story. Unfortunately, I lost the link and cannot find the page now.

Cool and fun looking boat for those with the upper body strength to enjoy it!
However, I have considered getting one of these little babies for such circumstances:

Properly mounted on the bow and rigged with some sort of lanyard it could be fired from a cockpit. I suppose that it could be used with real shot or something, but the noise of the blanks alone should get most people's attention, especially if fired at their bow so that the smoke pours over their decks.
Come to think of it, having two available for a rapid re-fire might be nice, along with a small banner that you could run up to let the other skipper know you are planning to reload and come about...

Rod,
Yeah, that's the one! The first time I read it, I could hardly stop laughing.
