Jay - Can you fill me in a little more on what happened to your boat? FWIW we just had it re-surveyed for insurance last spring (before the hard grounding last summer). However with further thought and discussion we consider that to be almost impossible we would have had to had the rail totally immersed before water could have leaked in that way. Hmmmmm . . . mine didn't double but it did lengthen several inches on each side. How far past the "end" of the crack would you recommend grinding and re-glassing?
