Reggie, I've used them before after doing some price shopping on certain items and haven't had any problems.

The online reviews are terrible. One site ranks them 1 out of 5. From
reading several, it seems to depend on if they send you what you ordered,
which looks like it must be hit or miss.
Here is a 1 star review
"After ordering online, I received the wrong parts. I tried contacting the
merchant twice by phone and twice by email (over the course of a week) with
no response. The phone number listed is just a voice mail box with a
generic greeting.I had to open a PayPal dispute to get a refund. The
merchant never did contact me to offer the right parts, or any kind of
explanation for the lousy service. Buyer beware."
Here is a 5 star review
"Excellent merchant, but it was difficult to contact them regarding
questions about the part."
And another 1 star review:
"Ordered steering wheel and nut. They sent wrong size nut. Called and
emailed. No response. Won't order from them again. Price looks great but
after a close inspection the product quality is low. You get what you pay
for if you're lucky. I didn't even get what I paid for"
And finally a happy customer:
"This was my second purchase from marinedepot.com and just like the first
time they have impressed me again. There prices are unbeatable and the
service top notch.
When I need to purchase marine supplies they will always be my first stop!"
Good luck,
Allen

So you’re choosing your stance from anonymous online reviews? Two to be exact? While I don’t think I would trust some parts for say, standing rigging and safety things, there is definitely some value in the super low cost of the simplest of parts. Two of us have already said that we’ve ordered and been happy with products.

I’m quite relaxed mate. My name is in my email, but in case you can’t figure that out, it’s Kerry. If you think that that’s “bitching” then you’ve lived a very sheltered life. I was simply pointing out that people love to complain online and are not nearly as fast to recommend something. In this case, a source for super cheap and often useful things came up, and then was bad mouthed by someone who has no personal experience with it. I think thats worthy of rebutting.
Feel free to bitch more Mr. Paul West. I’ll be here.

Kerry
First - your first name doesn't come out in all email services.
Second - it's because I haven't lived a sheltered life that I've become irritated at people like yourself that are quick to assume and judge based on little to no information.
Third - Companies can also post positive reviews about themselves just as easily as people can bitch.
Fourth - Allen is likely the most savvy person on this list when it comes to the internet and all he was doing was taking time out of his day to help advise those who perhaps don't have that time in their day.
Rebut all you want, it's a free country. All I ask is that you do so with respect and I will do the same.

I know I don't deal with a company when I cannot speak to a person if there
is a problem with my order or the product. Period. If I see reviews and
the negative ones are saying they could not get in contact with the
seller....well heck with that seller no matter how great the price. I'm
going to support the vendor that is doing it right.
I don't like what I see when I google that company for reviews. I wouldn't
give them the time of day, let alone my hard earned money.
