</div>So Tom,
Satori is listed somewhere?
I have a longtime desire to see some pictures of her and learn more about her glorious Cal history.
One of the first “18?” CC46’s have always been a dream boat for me and Victoria.
I am back on the list and lurking (aka Cap’n dEmO)
Just completed our 10th trip to / back from Hawaii on our Cal 40 this weekend.
Hit a solid 21 knot surf in 40 knots of a tropical depression on th way over… but most of the race was a bummer drift-bob skirting two highs...
I had never before seen cloud to cloud lightning…sans thunder,,,, I guess that is common in the south?
Take care and a big hoot out to all the Cal “old-Timers”; you know who we are… and to everyone else congratulations on owning the most robust / simplest/ winningest boat ever built…
Second place is not even close.
dEmO.

Some friends came over recently to help liberate some imprisoned spirits, i.e.fermented grape juice. As I looked around I saw four Cal Boat owners.
Cal 21 - Craig
Cal 25 - Janet
Cal 40 - Beth
Cal 46 - Tom & Bobbie
We had a happy gathering, even if the Cal 40 and Cal 46 are for sale.
It seems like some folks with preference for great sailboats have gathered at our little Bayou Chico. It is a great place to live, sail, fish and grow old. If you ever travel through this part of our country, Northwest Florida, AKA Baja Alabama, stop by for a visit.

Hi, dEmO! Long time, me lad. How's the boatyard business (assuming it is still there after your Hawaii trek)?
I have a bunch of photos of Satori, Tom, and Bobbie from when they visited the Chesapeake. Kind of cute having Chicken Little tied up to the noble Satori (except that the Harbormaster in Annapolis kept shooing us away).
Also have a pic of Tom as the CAL 25 National Champion (1973 Tom?)..
Cheers
Charlie
