Carlos, I think the usual would be okoume marine plywood. AA marine fir is next. After that would be AC or BC plywood. Big price differences. Given the amount of labor, I would go high end to justify the effort.

Thanks Charlie, i guess what they used in the vberth is no longer manufactured? I am not sure if it is really plywood, to be honest with you it looks like a high end cardboard. You find the same material used to cover the diesel tank and water tank in the middle berth, and used for many internal hole covers or internal hatches
Does anybody in the list know the brand and size of the window o port opening for the cal39mkii? This is a 1979 model.

the plywood used in the fitting out of most boats, where it will be secured by mechanical fasteners and NOT tabbed or otherwise fiber-glassed or epoxied in, is of the MDO or HDO type... it is a quality medium or high density plywood with an overlay to smooth and finish the surfaces.
the medium density is probably the normal stuff you would use, but if you need very strong and stiff, use the high density stuff....
