Allen, THANK YOU for finally answering a question that has kept me desperately searching the aisles of Home Desperate and Lowes. I have been looking for a couple of years for that Scotch white-2070 tape, I had used it in the past and liked the way it didn't lift the paint layer under it....... Too bad they discontinued it, but I may try that other tape that you mention. There are still a few wider tapes available that have similar level of adhesive, they are brown paper and about 2" wide (adhesive only covers about 1/2 the width) These are more for the home-painting market, but I have used them for one day painting projects on my boat.
