That would be Katie and Jessie. I watched their trip online for the last year and a little more. Very interesting! Brave young women.

Hi, All. Some years back, I helped out a CAL 25 guy (Joe Kozak) with a few days in a slip in Annapolis during some really crappy weather. He was a nomad who lived in his CAL 25 and went up and down the East Coast on a shoestring. For some time after that he was sending me letters detailing daily departure times, gas purchase, meals, waypoints and the like. A few years later, we passed him in the ICU while I was helping a power boat buddy (Big Powerboat!) transport his machine south. Still later, I received the notice below concerning Joe’s Loop circumnavigation. It is available on Amazon as well as some other books on doing the Loop on a few bucks a day. The Katie an Jessie saga is quite something. Cheers, Charlie

Thanks, Charlie. I spent a night rafted up with Joe off Galesville, Md., after some group event. We were going to go ashore in his dinghy to a festival, but he could not get his outboard to start. So, we used my outboard that I keep on my stern rail. That was the only time that outboard has been used for anything. He was quite a character.
