This is a list of people who have been corresponding for a bunch of years. Most of us have never met each other in person, but we like to think that we know each other, but we all have a name. You put forwarded a very thoughtful rebuttal to my "arm chair" analysis of prop spin, I read it, and, tore a piece of paper and twisted it up to mimic a propellor, and by-gosh, I realize you were--- "Right"---, which, I had no intention of sounding sarcastic, but, after hitting the send button, I thought to myself, "I hope he doesn't take that one word response the wrong way"Cheers! [as Charlie Husar would say],Best,Gerald Sobel -of ye Oldest Cal Sailboat, the Cal 24 design of 1958, and still the most fun design if not the fastest (but I've had her surf on a plane at over 12 knots for 200 yds at a time in a 25 to 30 knot blow on a beam reach), and certainly not the largest, but being there's one in Hawaii, it might have sailed there on it's own hull, altho all the earlier boats, like mine, were do-it-yourself kits, so yeah, the owner could have had it shipped. In fact, the inside surface of my rear keel area is, would you believe, still sticky 'cause, after 53 years, it ain't fully cured yet.
