From :"nh… [at] yahoo.com [Cal_Boats]" Date :Mon, 01-Jun-2015 06:07 To :Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com CC : Just bought a Cal 39 after selling my 36 and trying to determine if it's Mk 2 or 3. It's a 1982. My questions is do the middles digits of the hull ID number, which I guess is the serial number, correspond to the actual hull number? From what I hear Mk 2 Cal 39's are hull numbers 1-147 and Mk 3's are after that. As far as the interior is, I have the enclosed quarter berth to port but without an extra head, just a washroom. Then I also have a chart table to port, galley to starboard. According to sailboat data, that looks like the Mk 2. But then I have 5 portholes in the cabin and a Pathfinder engine, which seems to be a Mk 3 trait. I checked the bottoms of most of the drawers, sometimes they have hull numbers, but no luck.
