Need pics of rigging set up: New owner of 1967 Cal20
ca… [at] gmail.com2015-07-08 13:30 UTC
I've recently moved from east coast to west coast. I'm on the southern end of Vashon Island near Tacoma.
I'm in the process of cleaning up a beautiful boat (Cal20) that was not well cared for, but has the good body of every Cal!
The standing rigging is fine, needs tuning but otherwise just fine.
However, I'm replacing all of the running rigging, much of which is just missing or lines broken, or totally worn out lines. Hardware mostly in place.
I previously owned a great Cal2-25 and sailed in Casco Bay, Maine. Had to leave "Dutch Treat" in New England when I relocated to the Puget Sound on Vashon Island, right down near Tacoma.
Cal 20 owners: please send close up pics of your Vang, Main Sheet, and Jib rigging set up to: Ca… [at] comcast.net or reply to this posting.
If you're in Tacoma, want to help me? I'm right on the southern tip of Vashon. I can pick you up at the ferry and feed you a great appreciation meal.
Many thanks!
Love Cals!

Carolyn,
Cal 20 Fleet 8 is at Tacoma Yacht Club, just across the way from you. They are host the Class Championships in Quartermaster Harbor next month, and hope to have 30 or more boats on the line. They race one design most Friday nights at TYC, with 5-7 boats on the line. I suggest you google “cal 20 Fleet 8”. You’ll find a bunch of stuff there, and can probably pick yourself up a ride most Fridays.
