Could seats be from a different hull series?

Last night I was sailing along in light air and the mind wandered to
things at hand...like the nonskid. Wow, the cockpit seat nonskid is in
pretty god shape for being 48 years old. Decks too. But wait, the deck
and the seats are /in a different pattern./ The decks and cockpit sole
are in a woven-fabric type pattern. The seats are more of a starburst
pattern. My guess is that Jensen lined the molds with whatever they had
at hand.
It would be nice to have enough wind to have other things to ponder, no?

Decks and seats are a different pattern as the deck is much more non-skid than the seats. Sitting on the deck is not very comfortable after a bit, definitely don't want to slid your rear-end across it.Chris A

Chris, the seats on our old CAL 21 (1970) had the same "woven-fabric"
type pattern as the deck.
Rod Johnson, "SUNBIRD"
1979 O'DAY DS II
(prior boat: NODROG", 1970 CAL 21)
PS: My DS II has nearly the same non-skid pattern as the CAL did.

I assume they came along at the same time as the hull did.

I dunno; on mine, the sit-ability is about equal for deck and seats.
