Rick- Google "mainesail boat repair". The guy's name is Rod something and he owns a yard up in Maine and he has a website that does step by step instructions on a number of boat repairs that are unbelievable. I know he has one on stainless ports I just don't know the brand and I can't remember the web address exactly but Google should take you there. He's to the point he really ought to write a book. Good luck!

Paul
Thanks so much for the recommendation. You’re correct: the step-by-step info he provides – with pics! – is fantastic. FYI, he installed the same brand of stainless ports that I am going to get, so it is perfect match.

Rick- glad my feeble memory was able to help lol. Sounds like it was a win/win. I'd love to do the same thing but my boat was built custom and I have 9 opening ports and they are all aluminum and only one is failing at the moment (knock on wood) so my boat bucks are better spent in areas of immediate need :-( Good luck with your project!
