Repacking Cutless Bearing on '73 Cal29

I've been trying to repack the cutless bearing but cannot find the search function in Yahoo Groups. IThe boat was pulled from the water because the bilge was flooding from a bad bearing and I desperately need to replace it. I cannot find specific instructions for the replacement on the Cal29 with original Atomic 4 motor. I'm certain this has come up before so if anyone can help with details, pics, and/or videos, I'd be eternally greatful. Thanks, Marty

HiThe cutlass bearing is in strut an would not flood the boat I think you lost the stern tube hose which connects the stern tube to the stuffing box To replace the hose and stuffing box rebuild we need slide shaft out and gain some space The yard can advise this job for you RegardsScottcal 2-29 for salepearson 10m On Sunday, August 2, 2015 4:44 PM, "wm… [at] yahoo.com [Cal_Boats]" <Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com> wrote: I've been trying to repack the cutless bearing but cannot find the search function in Yahoo Groups.
