Re: Shower drain

Bribon (1978 Cal39) simply has a hole on the sole/shower that drains into the bilge. I am pretty sure there is a "limber hole" (?) passing back through the frame from that part of the bilge to another. I would plumb a pump and and drain it through the sink drain, I suppose. Remember to have some kind of trap, as the hair, etc will clog things! Don't run a hose through the limber holes, they are needed to pass water through to the bilge pump area.
This is all hypothetical on my part, as in Puerto Rico we use solar-heated bag showers in the cockpit, with a screen enclosure for privacy and cutting down the chilly drafts.

Thanks for the feedback. I had selected a hose that would leave plenty of
room for water to flow (or at least so I thought) but perhaps it is better
to leave the holes fully open.

Jeff,
Sounds like a good idea to add an access hole/board there in the cabin sole. I was astonished at the wad of “guck” when I checked there years ago on Bribon!
We have installed access to each separate part of the bilge.
