I have a cal 31 Moored in Poulsbo for 11 years I can second the comment about healing. For me anything over 14 knots and I am looking to reduce sail area upwind Mine has a tiller as well which I am pretty sure is original. Love the tiller and would not trade Bought a new elliptical rudder due to cracks appearing this year and it really helps Performance Love the boat No major problems and not one blister I have a Volvo Md7a 13 hp. Chris, What year is your boat? Glad the rudder replacement went well (I don't want to know the cost).
