OK.I use an MSN weather app. I just got a "Tsunami Warning for Northern Monterey Bay and, Southern Mry bay, Santa Rosa, Anacapa and Big Sur. But, then they say "This is a test" Seriously?? Like screaming "FIRE" in a movie theatre then.."Psych! Just kidding!" Anyone else on the Cal Coast get such a notice? --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus

Hey Tom, Understand the frustration there, but the NWS uses those test alerts to test dissemination of information. They request that third parties send those out so they can gauge how well informed people will be in a real situation. I agree that they should put more emphasis on TEST! Tsunami warning tests were always a 1400 Wednesday when I lived in Tsunami country. Random is not a good idea. Look at your watch, if it was 1400 Wed, go back to work. Anything different, start executing your bug-out plan. > On Jan 13, 2016, at 11:02, Tim Roche ro… [at] gmail.com [Cal_Boats] <Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com> wrote: > > Hey Tom, > > Understand the frustration there, but the NWS uses those test alerts to test dissemination of information.
