Cal 20 in winter

All this talk about sailing is amusing for those of us where the water turns solid. I went out yesterday to rake the snow off the cover of Cal 20 #1220, the redoubtable Martha C. And as long as I was there, I took a photo. My boat is the little vessel in the middle, ci\overed with the blue and silver tarps. Let's see if I can attach it.

Nice photo.. Brings back good memories. I learned to sail near Traverse, on Torch Lake. As a kid I used to sail a super porpoise all over that lake. I always dreamed about dragging that boat over to Grand Traverse Bay...

As you probably know, Torch Lake properties are hot these days. My Dad
was a Hayo-Went-Ha camper many years ago as a child. The camp still
operates.
There's always room for another sailor on the Cal 20 once GT Bay thaws.
(Actually, that's a figure of speech this year, as the Great Lakes are
only about 8% frozen, as compared with an average of 53% at this time of
year).
