Timmo, It’s nice to see you back on the list. That must mean that your business is letting you have time to take a deep breath. I have learned a huge amount from the Maine Cruising website. He publishes some of the best How -to’s out there. Here’s to another great cruising and racing season in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks Fred, You know how hard it is to work on your boat, imagine working on 20 boats at once, and trying to not miss a detail. That has soaked up so much of my time, that while I read the majority of post topics, I just have not had time to respond. It’s just good to see my friends names out there still active in the sailing and knowledge world. Just did my 60th Birthday last weekend “Yikes!” I am 10 years older than California Girl. dEmO From: Fred Haas [mailto:ca… [at] gmail.com] Sent: Monday, March 07, 2016 6:54 PM To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com; Timm Lessley <ti… [at] gmail.com> Subject: Re: [Cal_Boats] Through hull information and installation guides; and more at the site. At 69 I’ve been taking care of Nemesis for more than half of her 44 years. I may never hit Timm’s percentages, but I sure am honored by my stewardship. Fred Haas 3-30 Nemesis Tacoma.. Well, I must chime in here. I am 77 and have had our Cal 46, "Satori" 34 years. She was launched November 1967, so will be 50 years old next year. I still think she is the most perfect cruising boat ever built and since Jack Jensen built her for himself, she is perfect. Our 14 years cruising and living aboard were better than we had dreamed and we would still be out there, but health issues limit our sailing. This year is the year we sell her... :-(. It has taken us several years to make this decision. We are currently doing a cosmetic refit as all the systems are in great shape, however, we will discuss some upgrades with the new owner. As she is at our dock, by our home on Bayou Chico, Pensacola, FL, I am on board daily puttering, remembering and dreaming. Tom & Bobbie Vandiver, Cal Cruising 46, Hull # 3, SATORI From: "'Philip A.
