Did you get the one from Deerfield Beach? If so you got it for way lower than what it was worth, congratullations! That is a lot of boat for the money. But, i can tell you that in South Florida the market for used older sailboat is very depressed. Your boat was well maintain so will be top choice. Just compare the range of other 26-28 ft sailboat and take an average. My guess is for a 27 sailboat the walk away price is just under $10,000. I have been trying to sell my CAL39 and keep dropping the price over the months with few serious buyers, lots of scamers, but after 9 months in the market I have 3 possible serious buyers and they are taking their time since there are so many boats to choose from. Take care

I'm looking to do the same. My CAL 29-2 will be listed soon, since I'm looking at an upgrade. I wanted to get a bunch of long overdue projects done first but broke my arm this spring, so projects will be limited. But I've been told there's a glut of smaller boats on the market, so better to expect less anyway and leave any projects to the new owner. I've put together a web page, will add some pics when the painting is done (something I can do). I'm planning on listing it in Craigslist and Good Old Boat. I have a subscription, so the latter is free for 90 days. Price will be $8500, since the woodwork inside is what I can't fix up with this arm, and that won't show well. And because keeping the price under $10k should help it move faster. Anne Racel 4 Degrees http://boatjournal.stuffandjunk.net http://boatjournal.stuffandjunk.net/1975-cal-2-29-for-sale/
