cal 30 tank
Hi, we had a 29, there was room to install a tank behind head, in fact almost bought that tank used at a caltopia Roger Smith participated in years ago. Can’t find that shape through any fabricator now. Sort of a teardrop side, flat face and top, and curved to fit hull. There are similar shapes with straight sides in angles that will fit behind that 30 toilet if you refit the cabinet, almost remove and box in, works for deck pumpout and vent..composting rigs too tall. No headroom (pun). If a blackwater bladder tank is legal, that too will fit with some cabinet work. (We rebuilt a 30, that's how I know this) we installed and boxed a rim for a portapotty style. The big problem is the door accommodating protrusion. On our 29, we found a 6 gallon wraparound tank that fit around base and could be pumped. No room in 30. If you have skills, I would consider removing cabinet on opposite side, mount toilet near door facing forward, install tank in bottom of wet locker, build separation wall between toilet and tank, tall enough for structural reason, and put the clothes rod back up. Take your sink, use the drawerstack and mount on opposite side where head was, using top drawer front on face to allow sink. If you were near us I would show this. Our 2-27 has this head configuration if you can find a drawing. Helen
