Need a tiller bracket...

So the new tiller arrived today for my 1968 Cal 28 and as I started to swap over the bracket I noticed that the brass was cracked in two places. Does anybody know where I can get a new tiller bracket for this boat? Thanks, Bill

Brass can be welded (brazed). Depending on the cracked area, of course. My Cal 29 had a cracked and broken tiller mount when I bought her. A previous owner had fabricated two stainless steel brackets for either side of the tiller clamp and drilled and bolted the brackets to the tiller clamp. Very strong and simple. I had two pieces of stainless steel fabricated when I found my bronze tiller bracket was broken.
