Tentative plan to hit Mandeville Tip for the Fourth this year. Never been. Any SF Bay Cal sailors going or have been that would like to meet up or share advice? I've heard it can be quite the zoo, possible nearby anchorages that are flat but less insane? I will not be able to leave the dock until Friday so probably late to the party as well... What anchorage? Looks like East side of the reach would be best. Also looking at Threeriver or maybe even the Bedrooms if the view is still OK. Bedroom Two is almost 2 miles away tho. The islands look flat but I'm guessing there are trees and thick brush around the edges. I'm looking at around a 65-70 mile run to get there. Run out is no problem, having to burn at least one vacation day to get back is the drag.
