Subject: [Cal_Boats] Cal 33-2 opening port replacement
Wondering if anyone knows the brand of the opening ports in a 1986 Cal 33-2. Or what will fit as a replacement. There are four in the cabin and one in the hull on starboard side. The starboard side hull opening port has been damaged. Not bad, but the exterior lip got cracked. It is very brittle and can't take much of a bump from anything (even a cleaning brush). I am thinking of replacing that opening port and maybe just do them all.
I found this Beckson model and it appears very similar to what is currently on the boat.

I took measurements last Friday while down at the boat finishing some teak, but of course now can't find the paper. I think I need to order a 5" x 12" opening size.
Does anyone have measurements of the opening ports and a good source for replacements? Should I go back with plastic ports or metal? Seems the plastic has lasted 30 years.
Thanks,
