Props

The prop issue reminds me to relate a story. I bought my Cal29 in 1995 or so, and it came with a two blade prop that pulled to starboard enough to make a 4 hour trip to storage not fun. I bought a prop from Indigo Electronics, a kind of small 3 blade. The next trip was a pleasure, I could take my hands off the wheel and the boat just tracked straight. The yard guys are mystified, they wonder how it has enough speed, but we do 6 knots with the A4 just at good revs, don't have a tac, but gps says we're doing 6. I have no interest in Indiglo, but I like their stuff.David Dobbs Cal29 411

David, thanks for Sharing your experience. I've been considering an Indigo prop to replace our existing two-blade, for the exact reasons you mentioned.

I have dealt with Indigo for several years. They are honest, reliable, fair priced and have great products.
