Cal 40 Mast weight
Tom Vandiver2017-01-01 17:50 UTC
Does anyone know about how much a Cal 40 mast weighs, less spreaders, rigging etc.?
We need to move a friend's mast from the yard to my dock so we can work on it.
This 78 year old can lift one end, but we must either put it on my Panga so I can haul it across the bayou to my dock or I have hauled shorter masts on the roof of my van.

two tough guys could handle moving it with rigging, etc. significantly less weight without rigging. I suggest two tough guys doing it with your expert supervision on the side.
