Keeping George
I’ll see what I can do, George. Hopefully, somewhere between “Shazam!” and “Open Sesame!” there are words that will let me do that. However, based on experience something like “…this piece of s**t…” might work better. I’ll report back.
Cheers
Charlie

Hello listees,
I’m moving to a new company and will lose access to this email account but would hate to lose the CAL list. Can the moderator change my email account? I’ve long ago lost the ability to get into my yahoo account and make changes on my own.
New email is ge… [at] elwersfamily.com <mailto:ge… [at] elwersfamily.com>
Thanks!
George

No helipad, but we did have a blowup pool up there once. Nice and warm after a dip in salty brine.

Hear! Hear! Chris. Just one question. Have you marked off a helipad on the foredeck?

Jerry,
We've had "Happy Days", our 1966 Cal 28 since 1969 and love the boat, although most think we're just lazy or crazy to have kept her soooo long. Anyway, she is roomy down below like you mention and can certainly get her moving when there's any sort of wind. Back in the early 70's we won a few races with her, even beat a Cal 40 on time in a Santa Monica Bay race. Folding prop, clean bottom, big winches, and an over-sized chute helped. Anyway, they are a great low-budget entry boat for cruising and they still turn some heads when coming into a marina.
Happy sailing,
