Some final pics of the sole replacement. Turned out good. Lot of work.
Many hours spent hand sanding to get the best fit.
Did the final fitting today and then used silicone to glue it down.
Used some weight plates to lay on top to hold pressure while the silicone
set up.

This is what I ended up cutting to fit around the mast.
You just can twist it so it will slip into place.
The 1/2" x 1/2" pieces hold the small section. see next pic.

Looks great, Where did you get the materials to do that. I'm starting to get some de-lamination around the sink area

Thanks. Ours was having de-lamination at the sink as well, but worst was in
front of the settee was a weak spot in the floor where your foot might go
through. Plywood was very de-laminated. And there were gouges and such all
over. It was time. I initially got a quote from the local boat yard, but
they quoted $5000 and I thought that was a little high. After doing the job
I still think they were high. Plus, I know what was done and I am not sure
they would have taken the pains I did.
I ordered two sheets of 1/2" from this place. Others on this site have
mentioned they used 7/16". That would I guess be better, but what my boat
has was 1/2", so I went back with that. I also orders some 1/2" x 1/2" - 8'
teak strips to do the trim around the various sole pieces. Had to plane
some down to 1/4".
https://www.marine-plywood.us/
They were great to work with. Shipped the two sheets via freight all boxed
in by sheets of OSB for protection and I picked up the shipment at a local
trucking terminal. Still, the trucking company fork lift driver managed to
ram the fork into the corner and damage the plywood, but not enough that I
couldn't use it. The plywood was around $238 a sheet, plus $200 shipping.
I used satin 'Gleam' varnish from Jamestown Distributors. Very easy varnish
to work with, fast drying, applies well. Used Smiths penetrating epoxy to
seal the plywood all around. Secured the pieces down with 100% silicone.
The fitting was tedious. 20 years ago I would have screwed this job up. Now
that I'm 58 I had the patience to take my time. I guess my skill level is
improved as well. I am glad this job is over. I enjoyed it, but it was also
a lot of labor.

Wow! Beautiful job. Seems to me the results worth getting are always the
ones requiring the most patience and attention to detail. It's always
worth it in the end.

Super good looking work! Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures! Mine has actual screws going through the sole which of coarse dont look as good.. Id be interested to see if that silicone holds for the long haul under there.

Well done!
Good job and looks perfect. I will post pix of our new main cabin sole soon. We used a composite that looks like teak and had an expert lay it. He was trading labor toward a Perkins 4.108 we rebuilt for him
