Papoose is back
Allen Edwards2017-05-04 03:29 UTC
After 11 months of waiting Papoose has a new mast, new pushpit, and
assorted repairs and it back in racing form. Our first race was last
evening and we nailed it. Every boat in the race owed us time and we beat
them all across the finish line. There was some luck to that as the wind
varied from dead calm to 19 knots and we were pretty much the only boat
with wind, not much, but enough to keep us going forward. I love the new
mast so all is good.

Far out, Allen. Especially glad you are pleased with the mast.
Take Care

Congratulations on having your boat back! And as to luck... yeah,
there's always some luck involved, but there's also the important
variable of skill and knowledge. Those last two things are what make
competition interesting, aren't they? Otherwise, it would only be a
question of which boat was inherently faster.

Congrats Allen. Stay away from big ol schooners! And if you continue winning by that big of margin YRA might revist your PHRF rating. Have fun!!
