To all who have helped me lately, here's something to consider if you have weathered portlights and would rather have them cleaned up than replaced. my 40 year old 2-27 had been allowed to weather badly and I tried something that amazed me. My son backed into buying some products from a lady who was volunteering to raise funds to fight breast cancer and she approached him as he gassed up his car and squirted some of this stuff on his headlight seeing the were faded. When she applied the stuff and let it dry the effect was really surprising. Who hasn't tried stuff like this before? I brought it to my boat, parked on the driveway and applied some to the larg portlights on first the port side and was thrilled to see the result. I am attaching photos of this one and the untreated exterior of the starboard side so you can compare. And i did a pair of shots from the inside through the starboard light, once before and once after. You judge for yourselves if this is interesting. OK, I finally got time to get back to the boat and figure out what this stuff is. The photo attached may illustrate it but just in case, the product is made by IBIZ and is a two step process. I did give my port lights a week so I could judge if the improvements are here to stay,..and the good news is that yes, they look just as good as they did when I put it on a week ago, I cleaned up the other four smaller windows to the same level of clean and bright. This stuff is the real deal. I am really glad it works.Boat looks better and the experience from down below looking out is a thousand times better. Like sitting in a new boat.Downside is that I may need curtains for a modicum of privacy, now. oh, well.
