Hello all, I'm giving up. I have a lovely, solid '78 2-25 in Monterey. I'm putting her on Craigslist this weekend. New Standard Horizon AIS, Harken roller, all rigged back to cockpit for single-handing, new tiller, solar battery charger, shore-power cable and charger..other bits.
