Facebook for Cal

Just now getting a chance to read everyone's emails. Yeah, like anything, there are good and bad aspects of Facebook. The biggest problem that I've experienced personally is that you don't realize who all can see your posts, so basically if you don't get your settings right, a bazillion people can "overhear" your conversation or know that you "liked" something that you may not want everyone to know about. Yes, it can be a time suck but that's only if you let it. What it is good for is having a conversation, posting pics and videos and keeping up with people and events easily. Maybe what is needed is a list of how your settings should be adjusted so you don't have to see anything but the Cal page if you don't want to (assuming that's possible). Thanks for everyone's responses. Bruce, I will respond to your email later. More later - Paul West Adventure Kwest Cal 39 MK III

FWIW I would hate to see this group defunct in favor of a facebook page. I don't do facebook and never have so I don't want to have to set up a facebook page/account in order to be able to access all the amazing info I find on this site. You guys have and continue to teach me so much about how to do things on my boat and I don't want to loose that regardless of what I may think about facebook... Wow! Just reading some of these.. While i'm not active here, i do enjoy the conversation and exchange of ideas and tips. I'm not of facebook either. Yes, im aware of the surface value, I already get too many targetted ads and unwanted emails and phone calls. My thought would be...forget facebook. I know i wasnt asked, but thanks for listening. ..tom..in monterey, ca > On Jan 19, 2018, at 7:37 PM, fs… [at] torchlake.com [Cal_Boats] <Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com> wrote: > > FWIW I would hate to see this group defunct in favor of a facebook page.
