I am not opposed to the Facebook Page as an addition to this list, or as a way to more easily post pictures (although I prefer the Photo Albums on the YAHOO site!). I like the fact that on this list we have some control (Thanks Charlie!) of content and it is harder for the list to get "highjacked" by SPAM. But ,I see nothing wrong with a Facebook page to supplement this list. I hope YAHOO will allow the various Lists (I am also on the O'DAY-List and a couple others on YAHOO) to continue, those of us that have been here a while will recall out old SAILNET Cal-List and how that kind of disappeared! Incidentally, there is still a CAL Forum on SAILNET, and very active as I recall! That is theoretically safer than Facebook. I have set up an alert to let me know of any messages in the CAL 21 discussions there. Yeah, like anything, there are good and bad aspects of Facebook. The biggest problem that I've experienced personally is that you don't realize who all can see your posts, so basically if you don't get your settings right, a bazillion people can "overhear" your conversation or know that you "liked" something that you may not want everyone to know about. Yes, it can be a time suck but that's only if you let it. What it is good for is having a conversation, posting pics and videos and keeping up with people and events easily. Maybe what is needed is a list of how your settings should be adjusted so you don't have to see anything but the Cal page if you don't want to (assuming that's possible). Thanks for everyone's responses. Bruce, I will respond to your email later.
