Cal 40 sold. Next week my Cal 46 will be ready to sell

Hi Cal Pals, You missed one good deal. The Cal 40 Celtic Naut sold yesterday. Such a deal! It is heart breaking, but I must sell "SATORI" my Cal 46 that I will have had 36 years on St. Patrick's Day. The 14 years we lived aboard and cruised were the best years of our lives. We wish we could do it over.. Health challenges, like a heart attack in October, plus approaching 80 years old...... I have a pro crew redoing the nonskid on the deck and we are doing minor cosmetics down below. I will prepare a major description in a week or so and post with pix on my website and here. As many of you know our boat was built by Cal Boat founder, Jack Jensen for himself. After he sold the company, he and Nancy sailed around the world. He passed at the early age of 53 shortly after they returned to Newport Beach. We bought "SATORI" from Jack's estate, outbidding her designer Bill Lapworth. There were only 18 Cal 46's built, then the 2-46's and the 3-46's, all great boats but ours is more purposeful. Details later. This is a sad day. Tom & Bobbie Vandiver, Bayou Chico, Pensacola, FL
