My 3-27 has a supports at either end also, and has a section under the cushions that slides out to expand the berth. There are bolts at each end that fit into holes in the supports to keep the sliding section from sliding in or out. -------------------------------------------- On Mon, 3/5/18, Donald Thomas dn… [at] gmail.com [Cal_Boats] <Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com> wrote: Subject: [Cal_Boats] 2-27 Interior carpentry To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com Date: Monday, March 5, 2018, 6:40 AM Hi all. Have a 76 2-27 that is nearly ready from a long overhaul. I'm interested to know if any of you have laminated a natural wood surface onto the plastic laminate of the folding table? Second question is that I want to take advantage of what appear to be an extension of that bench/berth on the port side of the salon. I have what appear to be feet on both ends of the cabin, awaiting a (presumably convertible) insert that would support extra width for this berth. If to make one, I'm hopeful one of you might have a photo of this assembly and can tell me about how they're made, used, stored, etc. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.-- Donald J ThomasBroker AssociateLIV Sotheby's International Realty101 S.
