Does anyone have a Cal 39 with airconditioning. Would like to know where it is installed and manufacture. I have been looking at Marinair 16000 BTU self contained self mount marine airconitioner. This unit would be a tight fit in forward closet. Thanks

We have an '83 CAL39 MKIII. We have the aft cabin which puts the nav station on the port side. Our air conditioning was mounted on a hull step underneath the nav station and all the venting goes thru bulkheads behind the salon seats. PS... We removed and repaired bulkheads. Personally we hated it. Lost storage and moisture problems. I'm in the process of moving the electrical panel from under the companionway to the nav station and will be using the companionway opening to mount our air conditioning. That's just us.
