SnapOn Stud Remover

Hello. I own a 1974 Cal 29'. Through a series of unfortunate events that I probably could have avoided if I was paying attention, I now need to remove the head from the engine block. It has become very clear through blood, sweat, tears (and a large bump on my head) that I will not be able to remove it without the use of The Snap-on Stud Remover (collet, #CG500-3/8" fine thread) or equivalent. As this is a SnapOn part, it is very expensive, especially for something that I hope will only be a one time use. I am wondering if any folks in the San Francisco Bay Area would be willing to rent/lend this tool to me so that I could complete the removal process. Thank for your consideration.
