The length you need is equal to "J" the distance between, roughly speaking, the front surface of your mast to a vertical line from where your forestay attachment point is at your bow. Forespar would have more specific measurements, plus the correct diameter of the tube. I couldn't find the one I had for my boat and the salesman suggested I come down and look in their pile of stuff. Fortunately, my "new" boat's PO lent me his for the time being...and eventually, just yesterday, I found mine buried in a pile of aluminum solar scrap next to my garage.
