There used to be a great CAL Forum on www.sailboatowners.net the "{bones" are still there I think, maybe it would be possible to re-activate that forum), why reinvent the wheel when there is a forum all set up. No need to reactivate, it is still there, just sort-of hiding out waiting for us to all check it out! YEAH! You will need to set up a user name and password, but it is all set to go! https://forums.sailboatowners.com/forums/cal.70/ Rod Johnson, "SUNBIRD" 1979 O'DAY DS II Previous boat, "NODROG" 1970 CAL 21 On Wed, 16 Oct 2019 18:42:51 -0700 "Mary Macdonald ma… [at] gmail.com [Cal_Boats]" <Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com> writes: I am a Cal 3-34 owner and a web developer. Correct Charlie, and the CAL Forum there is going strong. I set up my preferences to e-mail me any time anyone posts in the CAL 21 portion of that SAILNET forum. I became the moderator for the Cal Group some years ago to fill a vacuum, and not out of any particular skill. I am not a web site facile type. (However, I can make transistors tap dance.) I do know that many years ago (close to 20?) the Cal Group was on Sailnet. The bulk of the folks switched over to Yahoo when Sailnet wanted to start charging $$ for membership. I believe Sailnet is back to free again. I avoid that system on grounds that it seems creepy. Most of us probably have a bunch of other odd interests. I'm on a forum dealing with old console radio/phonos--the big old Magnavox, Zenith, or RCA console that used to grace living rooms. It is by far the easiest to access and use of any I've encountered.
