Winds blowing hard

The west coast is experiencing super heavy winds since last night, hopefully the dock/mooring lines are holding and we all prepared for this...it is amazing how accurately this was predicted. I would not want to be out in this even in a cruise ship. As it is, we have been more frequently replacing dock lines and fenders. Keeping the lines from chewing the rub and toe rails is challenging. Then untieing and arranging what to leave on the dock is a hassle. We mostly have this issue in Santa Cruz with the surging waters in and out of the harbor. Helen Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

Hi Helen, I live in Santa Cruz, but my boat is in San Mateo. We have been without power for a couple nights. I hope your boat is safe and you have power down there. Let me know if you need anything and it would be fun to meet sometime.
